Have you ever attended a seminar and you are like "THANK YOU GOD"? Seminars organized by Rev Erik Lindou are such types of seminars. Last Thursday 18th May 2023, we had a seminar on the theme HOW TO GET RID OF DEBTS NB: A debt is an amount owed by the borrower to the lender. In the world today, many people are in debt, others are preparing to borrow, not minding where they will get it, to pay it back. The seminar brought out some facts about debts that I feel everyone should keep at the back of their minds before thinking of borrowing : _Debts can take you from a place of comfort to a place of pressure and misery. _Not every reason for a debt that can be explained, can be justified. _Before you take a debt, make sure you have set up strategies or mechanisms that will enable you to pay back. Do not wait for a miracle to happen. _If you are not ready to lose money, do not lend it to anyone. _Do not lend money to anyone without a written agreement. _Do not borrow an amount of money to someone above his or her income. _Live, based on what you can afford, not based on what the society compels you to. Dear educators, it is a good thing to always reinforce your capacities, this can be achieved by attending rich seminars, and workshops and carrying out research. What caught my attention most was the aspect where, should teachers be rewarding a Guinness record for the huge hours they cover but evaluated in just 5 days? I think teachers are not very much appreciated. Even the happy teachers day has little power or enigmatic power to what we teachers do. Be it in the primary school or university. Give credit to where credit is due. Remember there was a time you could not read or write, all thanks to a teacher. #betapipo #naughtiboi

Teachers spend their whole lives giving out knowledge. Sometimes they neglect their own lives. In their classrooms, aside from being a teacher, they are nurses and second parents to their learners. They deserve to be appreciated and celebrated Once in a while, just go to your child's school and say "THANK YOU SIR/MADAME" for all you do for the kids. I know some will say teachers are paid for their job, but you and I know that no amount of money can be enough to pay teachers because they do an exceptional job, especially primary school teachers Kudos to every educator out there .
